Description
A new way to hear your music The K13 R2R is a fully-balanced desktop DAC and headphone amplifier that leans on FIIO’s proprietary 24-bit R2R resistor arrays, a powerful 2400mW+2400mW balanced output, and a wealth of tuning and connectivity options. With dual NOS/OS modes, LDAC Bluetooth, and a precision 10-band PEQ, it gives you control over both the flavor and fidelity of your music.
Fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC At the heart of the K13 R2R are four channels of resistor arrays: 48 precision-thin film resistors per channel, 192 in total. 1% accuracy with ultra-low temperature drift.
The result is a true 24-bit fully differential R2R DAC that delivers a sound signature that’s rich, organic, and natural. Lower FFT harmonics mean darker backgrounds and less noise, so what you hear is only the music.
Double the fun with Dual NOS/OS modes NOS (Non-Oversampling) Mode: Maintains the original sampling rate for decoding, preserving the authentic sound and allowing you to enjoy an organic and captivating musical experience. OS (Oversampling) Mode: Upsamples globally to a high sampling rate of 384kHz, for superior audio performance and even more refined, clear sound.
Preamplifier + power amplifier output With a wide variety of inputs and outputs, this unit functions as both a preamplifier and a power amplifier, catering to various listening preferences. 10-band high-precision PEQ Fine-tune the sound to your taste.
The built-in parametric EQ, powered by the XMOS XU316 chip and FIIO’s proprietary tuning algorithm, supports 10-band adjustment across all modes. Use the FIIO Control app or web interface to load presets like “Retro PEQ,” match headphone response curves, or share your own EQ curves.
Balanced from start to finish From DAC to LPF to volume control and headphone amp, the entire circuit is fully differential. That means minimal distortion, excellent interference rejection, and a dynamic range that stays intact across the chain.
Add gain control, headphone protection, and POP noise elimination, and you get a circuit that’s as safe as it is clean. Specially-designed power supply DC/AC dual supplies: The 30W internal supply is shielded for reduced interference, while an external DC input lets you experiment with higher-end linear supplies.
Multi-rail design: 18 low-noise LDOs and 5 DC-DC converters keep each section fed with clean power. Audiophile-grade capacitors: ELNA RA3 silk-film electrolytics and specialized tantalum caps help deliver warmth and stability.
Power on tap With 2400mW+2400mW into 32Ω on the balanced outputs, the K13 R2R has the muscle to drive high-impedance headphones with ease while still being gentle enough for sensitive IEMs. 3 gain levels + 3 independent volume curves The 3 independent gain levels and volume curves allow the K13 R2R to give you a better listening experience with various types of headphones, whether you are using sensitive earphones or harder to drive over-ear headphones.
